Business and Operations Manager
Mark is responsible for leading business and operations for the Bevan Commission. Previously, Mark worked as a Project Manager and Researcher for Swansea University for over 10 years and has expertise in ageing and older people. Previous projects include the £3.8m European-funded Awen Institute, which involved a £1m refurbishment of a building into a ‘Living Lab’ facility, and the Knowledge Exchange Project ‘Care in Business’, which brought together stakeholders from disparate sectors to explore how new technologies can be used to support remote working carers and the older people they care for. His research work included exploring the role older people play in the mitigation of climate change and the interface between ageing and business.
Before joining Swansea University, Mark worked for Age Cymru for six years as the Healthy Ageing Manager, developing and managing national health promotion programmes for older people.
