Mr Vaseekaran Sivarajasingam, Professor of Oral Surgery and Consultant Oral Surgeon, Clinical Director Cardiff University Dental Hospital, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board
As Clinical Director at University Dental Hospital, Vas oversees the strategic planning and implementation of comprehensive dental services for Cardiff and Vale. A notable initiative he spearheaded is the Intermediate Oral Surgery Service, a successful community-based programme that aligns with health board and Welsh Government objectives of enhancing primary care services and providing care closer to peoples’ homes.
Additionally, Vas leads the Bevan Exemplar work – Developing and Delivering Dental Sedation Services and Training Centre, fostering collaboration between primary and secondary care dental services. Throughout these developments, the utmost priority remains patient safety, care quality, and achieving positive clinical outcomes through inclusive service co-production involving all stakeholders.
