Dr. Craig, Barrington, Clinical Oncologist for Lower GI cancers, Deputy Lead for the Lower GI Cancer Network CSG –South West Wales Cancer Centre, Singleton Hospital, Swansea

Dr. Barrington is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in lower GI cancers (colorectal and anal cancers).  He has a keen interest in organ preservation approaches for rectal cancer and led on the introduction of Dostarlimab for patients in Wales with locally advanced rectal cancer and re-challenge Panitumumab for ctDNA RAS wildtype patients.

Craig is leading on bringing contact radiotherapy into Wales and developing a National Early Rectal Cancer MDT.  He is M&M and Audit lead with the South West Wales Cancer Centre.  He sits on the National Steering Group for the RCR National Radiotherapy consent forms and co-authored the RCR Rectal, Chapter Dose and Fractionation, 4th Edition.  He graduated from Newcastle University Medical School in 2011 after completing a BSc in Biomedical Science at Durham University.
