Bevan Fellow

David worked as a biomedical scientist for several years before studying public health and computing. Since then, he has worked in analytical and research roles in healthcare and public health.

David is now the analyst for Lymphoedema Wales Clinical Network, where he works with lymphoedema programmes and health board services to develop data collection, analysis and reporting systems.

The Lymphoedema Wales Clinical Network includes Wales’ seven health board lymphoedema services and a national team. Together they have developed standardised pathways, documentation, PROMs, PREMs and activity datasets. This standardisation provides an opportunity to work with the services to understand what good looks like and how to achieve this.

David will work with the services to co-produce relevant analysis and reporting, that will support their decision making. He will also use service data and qualitative methods to understand the barriers and facilitators to delivering these services effectively.

“I hope the Bevan Fellowship will expose me to ideas and practical experiences of service improvement and co-production from a diverse group of people. I also hope this opportunity will help me disseminate our findings more widely to services across the NHS.”
