Bevan Fellow
Chris is the Senior Pharmaceutical Analyst for North Wales Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance.
Chris has worked within the NHS for 8 years after previously working in the pharmaceutical sector with a background in manufacturing process design and quality control.
The focus of Chris’ fellowship project builds on the success of his Exemplar work; into implementation of advanced technology and automation within Pharmacy Technical Services.
The work carried out to date into the in-sourcing of device manufacture for Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy, was awarded significant funding through Welsh Governments’ SMART FIS scheme and won the BCUHB Innovation Excellence award in 2024.
Throughout the Fellowship Chris will scale up this work for delivery to patients, and look to introduce additional services to meet requirement and demand from Health Board and further afield.
Drawing on the experience and mentorship of the Bevan Commission, he hopes that he can enhance the work being carried out and in the transfer of knowledge both with the Health Board and the rest of Wales.
In doing so, demonstrating and promoting the value of the work carried out by Pharmacy Technical Services within Wales.
